Awards Committee
Solicits and receives nominations for awards; selects awardees from nominations and recommends these names to the Board of Directors.
Membership Committee
Fosters the initial and continued affiliation of all persons eligible for membership in Active, Student, Retiree, Life, Associate, Supporting and Honorary categories.
Program Committee
Plans the annual meeting of the Association.
Public Policy, Legislation and Resolutions Committee
Recommends positions on current public health issues referred by the Board of Directors or by other organizational units of MPHA; Reviews actions of the Associations to bring inconsistencies between policies and action to the attention of the Board of Directors; initiates and reviews proposed resolutions and position papers and makes recommendations thereon to the Board of Directors and House of Delegates.
Reviews legislative proposals and other rules and regulations concerning public health; mobilizes and coordinates members for advocacy of MPHA policy positions on public health issues through personal contacts with and expert testimony before appropriate legislative and decision-making bodies; works in concert with other public health organizations to achieve MPHA policy goals.
Bylaws Committee
Reviews the Bylaws of the Association annually; receives suggestions for changes in these Bylaws from the Board of Directors and gives these proper consideration; prepares the necessary Bylaw changes and submits them to the Board of Directors for approval before presentation to the House of Delegates for action.
Newsletter Committee
Assists in assembling materials for the Association newsletter, IMPACT, as needed. Areas of need may include collecting suitable materials, contacting divisions and committees for reports, editing submissions, etc.
